Between January and March 2025 I took time out to visit two incredible countries.
Colombia
Since the abrupt end to my South America trip in 2020 thanks to the Covid pandemic I had been thinking about how I might be able to get back and finish off the trip properly. Particularly Colombia which was high on my list the first time around. I was delighted to be able to do this in early 2025, albeit without taking my own bike with me. This trip had an added bonus of an intensive Spanish language school for a month which gave me a really good grounding in Spanish basics which I put to full use in Colombia and later in Cuba.

Cuba
I’d been thinking about visiting Cuba for some time and decided that 2025 would be the opportunity to do that, despite the increasing challenges of visiting the country. I’m glad I went to see it first hand given that it has an uncertain future.
